Lead Dispatcher

DescriptionMack Industries is seeking an experienced Lead Dispatcher to oversee the scheduling and coordination of ready-mix concrete deliveries and daily fleet operations. In this role, you'll work closely with plant leadership, drivers, customers, and sales teams to ensure efficient dispatching, on-time deliveries, and exceptional customer service while maximizing fleet utilization and maintaining a safe operation.This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving problems, and can effectively manage changing priorities while supporting both customers and drivers.Schedule: Monday – Friday, with occasional Saturdays during peak construction season or as business needs requirePay: Competitive weekly pay and comprehensive benefitsWhat You'll DoSchedule production and deliveries to meet customer requirements and project deadlines.Coordinate with sales, manufacturing, logistics, and operations to ensure efficient workflow.Serve as the primary point of contact for delivery scheduling and customer communication.Provide exceptional customer service by communicating accurate and timely delivery information.Lead initiatives to improve production scheduling, delivery performance, and customer satisfaction.Maintain and update the facility's master production and delivery schedule.Monitor inventory and material availability, anticipating shortages and coordinating with appropriate teams.Integrate customer orders into the production schedule while ensuring labor, equipment, and materials are available.Communicate schedule changes, delays, and updates to internal teams and customers.Perform a variety of administrative and dispatch-related tasks.Continuously develop new skills while improving current processes and procedures.Leadership ResponsibilitiesSupervise company drivers and support their daily operations.Oversee the daily dispatch and coordination of a fleet of 30+ ready mix trucks, ensuring efficient routing, maximum utilization, and on-time deliveries.Promote safe work practices and ensure fleet readiness.Coordinate third-party trucking resources as needed to meet delivery demands.Support operational efficiency while maintaining compliance with company policies and DOT regulations.QualificationsEducationHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, or a related field preferred.ExperienceMinimum of 3 years of dispatching experience in a construction, manufacturing, or similar industrial environment.Experience with production scheduling and manufacturing operations.Customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.Familiarity with DOT regulations and permitting requirements.Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.SkillsStrong organizational and multitasking abilities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment.Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.Ability to build positive working relationships across multiple departments.Work Environment & Physical RequirementsWork is performed in both an office and construction/manufacturing environment.Exposure to seasonal weather, noise, dust, and dirt.Must be able to inspect and approve outgoing loads.Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.What We're Looking ForWe're looking for someone who is:Customer-focused and responsiveA strong communicator and team playerOrganized with exceptional attention to detailProactive, dependable, and self-motivatedCalm under pressure and able to make sound decisionsAccountable and committed to delivering resultsThis job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
