Lead Mitigation Technician

SKY Restoration DKI is looking for a skilled and driven Lead Mitigation Technician to join our team in Smiths Grove, KY. This is your chance to take the lead on meaningful restoration work, guiding crews through water, fire, and storm damage mitigation projectsthat make a real difference for homeowners and businesses. Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise mitigation crews on water, fire, smoke, and storm damage restoration job sites
• Perform water extraction, structural drying, demolition, and content manipulation
• Set up and monitor drying equipment including air movers, dehumidifiers, and moisture meters
• Document job site conditions, moisture readings, and progress through daily reporting
• Communicate with project managers, adjusters, and customers regarding job status and scope of work
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with IICRC standards and safety protocols
• Train and mentor junior technicians on proper mitigation techniques and procedures

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in water/fire mitigation or restoration industry
• IICRC WRT (Water Restoration Technician) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Prior leadership or crew lead experience strongly preferred
• Proficiency with drying equipment, moisture detection tools, and industry software
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, carrying, and working in confined spaces
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude
• Availability for on-call and emergency response shifts as needed
