Example of duties:
- Check the custodial account cash balance against pending capital calls (cash outflows) and pending distributions (cash inflows) to ensure sufficient cash to meet liquidity needs.
- Assist in rebalancing the investment portfolio by producing an estimate for interim month investment manager market values using available price data.
- Assist in coordinating with investment managers to ensure MercedCERA documents, authorized signatories, and the authorized communications lists are up to date.
- Join and take notes on quarterly update calls and other meetings with investment managers.
- Join meetings with our investment consultants and other investment-related vendors.
- Update quarterly investment reports with data from MercedCERA’s investment consultants and online resources.
- Assist in conducting research on investment and economic related topics for presentations and recommendations provided by MercedCERA Staff to the Board of Retirement.
- Attend monthly Board meetings and take notes related to investment discussions.
- Organize system files and spreadsheets for the Investment and Fiscal Team.
- Assist with special projects, analysis, research or other related tasks or duties as assigned.

PAID SICK LEAVE
Extra-help employees are entitled to accrue up to five (5) paid sick days (40 hours) in a 12-month period.
SOCIAL SECURITY
Extra-helpemploymentearningsare not covered under Social Security. Merced County provides an alternate plan - Public Agency Retirement Services (PARS) - for extra-help employees who are otherwise not eligible for participation in the County'sretirement system.
COMPENSATION/UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE:
The County does provide benefits to those eligible under the State Workers Compensation and Unemployment Insurance statutes.
