Position summary: Responsible for business development, financial success, and managing staff for the department in Washington DC and supporting traffic efforts throughout the metropolitan area.
Compensation for this position is $190,000-$210,000 annually, commensurate with experience, education and certifications. The provided range is a good faith estimate based on the requirements described within the job description.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Coordinate strategic growth plan with office managers and practice leaders
Establish and grow market presence in area through marketing and business development
Manage financial budget for department and allocate resources accordingly
Lead and contribute to the production of proposals
Serve as a technical expertise resource to project managers and technical staff
Establish resources staffing needs for the section
Interview and hire staff for the section
Perform performance reviews for staff based on input from project managers on assigned teams
Coordinate with other traffic teams in Virginia and Maryland on marketing and project activities
Nonessential Functions and Responsibilities
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Required SkillsRequired Experience
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field from an accredited program
Professional Engineer License or equivalent
15+ years' experience in specialized discipline
Project management and business development experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Qualifications Preferred
Experience working with local clients at the county and state level
Supervisory experience
