Must possess at least a BA/BS degree and must also be certified by the U.S. Army Cadet Command;

Must also meet Army JROTC height/weight/body fat standards, high standards of military bearing, appearance and moral character;

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. The JROTC (Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps) Army Instructor (AI) will assist the Senior Army Instructor (SAI) as the institutional leader in managing and conducting the JROTC program in accordance with United States Army Cadet Command (USACC) regulatory guidelines and school district rules, regulations, and policies.
2. Assists the SAI to accomplish the instructional, operations, and administrative mission of the JROTC program.
3. Responsible for providing classroom instruction to cadets as established within the curriculum's program of instruction (POI) as provided by USACC and school district guidelines and policies.
4. Adheres to APS JROTC established operating procedures relating to administration, control, and training of cadets.
5. Assists in establishing and maintaining viable extra-curricular activities such as Color Guards, Drill Teams, Raider Teams, Rifle Teams, Orienteering Teams and Academic Teams.
