Workdays & Hours:
- Full time, 40 hours. Flexibility is required, 24-hour shifts, evenings, weekends, holidays and have scheduled days off on days other than Saturday and Sunday.
- Shift Differential will be paid for all hours worked within the hours of 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

A Stagehand position is available with The City of Fort Worth, Public Events Department / Fort Worth Convention Center. This position performs various duties for planned events including stage and technical equipment and related sound, lighting and/or video systems preparation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Two (2) years of experience in stage, lighting, and equipment operations
- Must pass Pre-Employment Drug Screen and Background Check
The Stagehand job responsibilities include:
- Conducts various technical tasks related to the operation and maintenance of video, projection and sound systems equipment
- Assembles stage facilities, sound, lighting, and/or video systems
- Arranges props and stage equipment for public events
- Inspects, operates and performs maintenance on sound, lighting and supportive electrical equipment
- Consults with lessees, promoters, and event coordinator on stage facilities, equipment, sound, lighting, and/or video system necessary for planned events
- Participates in minor repairs of the facility including painting and carpentry. Cleans area after completion of event and disassembly of equipment
- Assists in conducting annual inventory of equipment and recommends needed supplies and equipment
- Consults with clients to determine audiovisual and theatrical needs. Works with employees to improve public event coordination
- Adheres to assigned work schedule as outlined in the Department and City attendance policies and procedures; ensures all behaviors comply with the City's Personnel Rules and Regulations

Medium work - Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly having to move objects.

Medical Program
The City offers two plan options through Meritain Health, an Aetna company.
The Health Center Plan – Offers employees and their family’s

Employees can visit any one of the three City of Fort Worth Employee Health Centers and receive guaranteed same or next day appointments for sick visits. Also, services are available at any one of the five satellite locations that serves employees across the city.
The Consumer Choice Plan – Is offered to employees at no cost or low monthly premiums to cover eligible dependents and provides the financial benefits of a Health Savings Account (HSA).
• Preventative services are covered at 100% on both plans.
• Prescription Drug coverage including mail order pharmacy are also included.
Vacation
Eligible for 3 weeks of vacation: After successful completion of probationary period (usually
6 months), employees may take time off for rest, relaxation, vacation, illness, religious observances, and personal business.
Holidays
Available on the first day of employment, the city provides employees with paid holidays, including two personal holidays.
Wellness Program
The city’s Healthy Challenge Wellness Program rewards all full-time, benefit-eligible employees on the city’s health insurance. The Healthy Challenge Program utilizes a points system. Participants may earn points throughout the year (Jan. 1-Dec. 15) for completing specific program activities and participants can redeem points at the end of the year for a cash reward. By participating, individuals can earn $150, $200 or $250 by accumulating program points.
