Summary
Forensic Science Lab Assistant (Federal Work Study)
This position will be located on the Old Charlotte Highway Campus in Monroe working under the Director of Public Safety Curriculum Programs.
The lab assistant will help with all the behind the scenes tasks required to support the forensic laboratory courses held on both campuses. Tasks may include: setting up lab stations and/or putting away equipment each week, maintaining inventories for supplies, organizing forensic science cabinets, washing equipment used, unpacking orders, cleaning the lab, etc.
Be a student in Forensic Science, or an Associate in Science student who is familiar with forensic science or who has an interest in forensic science. Ability to read, understand, and follow both written and oral directions, Ability to work independently and complete work with careful attention.
The lab assistant should be reliable and good at following detailed and specific instructions.
Students must have completed a current year's FAFSA, be eligible for Federal Financial Aid, be enrolled at South Piedmont Community College, be making Satisfactory Academic Progress (GPA of 2.000 or higher, a completion rate of 67% or higher, not exceeding the maximum timeframe of 150%) to apply.
