As an Airline Ground Handling Agent, you will play an essential role in supporting safe and efficient airport operations. You will work directly around aircraft, guide arriving and departing flights, handle baggage and cargo, and operate specialized ground-support equipment.

Primary Responsibilities
- Safely guide and marshal inbound and outbound aircraft to and from assigned gates and parking positions.
- Follow all safety procedures to help prevent aircraft damage, equipment damage, and employee injuries.
- Load, unload, sort, and transport passenger baggage, mail, and cargo between the aircraft and airport.
- Read baggage tags and routing information to ensure baggage reaches the correct aircraft or destination.
- Sort and stack baggage on designated carts, conveyors, belt loaders, and screening machines.
- Safely transport baggage, mail, and cargo throughout designated airport and ramp areas.
- Protect baggage, cargo, and equipment from damage, loss, and changing weather conditions.
- Drive and operate ground-support equipment, including tugs, baggage carts, cargo carts, belt loaders, service trucks, and other airport vehicles.
- Assist with baggage records, routing documentation, and other required operational paperwork.
- Inspect ground-support equipment before use and report damage, mechanical problems, or safety hazards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free ramp and work area.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, flight crews, and other airport personnel.
- Work collaboratively with the ground-handling team to support safe and on-time aircraft arrivals and departures.
- Perform other ramp, baggage, and ground-operations duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a consistent work schedule.
- Ability to follow detailed safety and operational procedures.
- Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced airport environment.
- Ability to read and understand baggage-routing information, safety instructions, and equipment procedures.
- Willingness and ability to safely operate motorized ground-support equipment after completing required training.
- Ability to meet applicable airport security, background-screening, and badging requirements.
- Reliable and consistent employment history.
- Physical and Scheduling Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in rain, snow, heat, cold, wind, and other changing weather conditions.
- Ability to work safely around aircraft, moving vehicles, heavy equipment, noise, and active airport operations.
- Ability to repeatedly lift, carry, load, and unload baggage or cargo weighing 50 pounds or more.
- Ability to frequently walk, stand, bend, stretch, sit, stoop, reach, grasp, push, and pull.
- Ability to remain active and on your feet for extended periods.
- Availability to work overtime, nights, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts based on flight schedules and operational needs.
