Summary
Create and execute project preplanning activities with subcontractors. Coordinate subcontractors, architects, inspectors and suppliers to resolve any problems with materials or methods. Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to construction schedules. Document onsite activities in the daily report, including verbal directives, delays, progress photos, weather conditions and onsite manpower. With a focus on Multi-family, Senior Living, Affordable Housing, Mixed-Use, Historical Renovation, Education, Healthcare, and Adaptive re-use projects, this firm is working on some of Ohio's most prominent and high profile projects. Description The key responsibilities of a Senior Superintendent are: Leading and managing the on-site construction team. Coordinating and overseeing all work on site. Attending production meetings. Reviewing and becoming familiar with the schedule and budget, and ensuring adherence to these. Ensuring quality standards are met. Placing orders for materials, and being responsible for equipment and materials on site. Following the project time line to ensure deadlines are met. Monitoring and ensuring on-site safety compliance, cleanliness and orderliness. Maintaining records for site personnel such as daily field reports, field orders and RFIs. Liaising with inspection authorities regarding approvals Profile The Successful Senior Superintendent will have: 10+ years of experience with a commercial contractor or equivalent industry experience Demonstrated leadership ability of project teams with successful outcomes In depth knowledge of the construction process including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, and manpower Proficient in basic use and functions of a personal computer OSHA 30-Hour Certification Experience with Scheduling Good time management skills The ability to work in a fast paced environment Job Offer What is offered for a Senior Superintendent is: Diverse project selection $10 million - $100 million Very competitive salaries up to $150k base with fast track to General Superintendent Fast-Track promotion path based solely on merit, not tenure.
