The New Mexico Corrections FacilitiesIdeal Candidate Experience in the following:Assisting interdisciplinary teams in the evaluation of offendersParticipating in follow-up services and providing monitoring of offendersInmate Classification processThe reentry processApplication of Good Time LawsMonitoring activities using a tracking systemAssociate Degree from an accredited college or university in Guidance and Counseling, Penology, Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Family Studies/Services, Criminology, or related field as it pertains to the essential duties and responsibilities of the classification. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or experience in a correctional setting, records management, file auditing, case management, law enforcement, counseling, social work, government assistance programs, rehabilitative environment, working on health or social service-related matters, behavioral health, policy and/or statutory compliance totaling two (2) years may substitute for the required education.Employment Requirements This position is designated as safety sensitive. Employment is subject to pre-employment and random testing, in accordance with all terms and conditions of federal and state law, rules and regulations in relation to alcohol and/or drug testing.Working Conditions Work is performed in an adult prison environment, which includes daily contact with inmates. Willingness to work in a correctional facility, may be required to work odd hours, overtime, holidays, and weekends.Bargaining Unit Position This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement and all terms/conditions of that agreement apply and must be adhered to.#J-18808-Ljbffr
