Summary

Nature of Work

Under general supervision of Transportation Division management, this position performs full-performance level work monitoring and securing agency facilities and grounds. This position may require working rotating shifts and holidays.

Specific duties include: Monitor entrance to Commission's main headquarters building and access points. Verify identity of employees and visitors by controlling building access points, according to Commission procedures and guidelines. Conduct regular patrols of Commission campus (buildings and parking garage), checking doors, windows and all access points for secure status. Note/log safety concerns, unauthorized entry or suspicious activities. Report irregularities, security concerns, emergency situations to supervisor per prescribed guidelines. Contact local authorities in emergency situations. Maintain daily shift logs, recording patrol rounds and security checks. Monitor traffic flow and parking on Commission grounds. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Training: Must be able to pass a test at the eighth grade level.
