Now Hiring: Armed Flex Protection Officer – Corporate Headquarters Campus in Benton Harbor MI Starting at $32 / hour • Elite Assignment • Career Growth
Allied Universal® is seeking highly qualified security professional to serve as an Armed Security Flex Protection Officer at our client's Global Headquarters (GHQ) campus in St. Joseph, Michigan. This is a high-visibility, customer-facing assignment requiring exceptional professionalism, strong communication skills, and sound judgment. The Armed Security Flex Officer may be called upon to work irregular shifts at times with little to no advance notice.
Responsibilities:
- Provide armed security and emergency response across a large corporate campus
- Operate a vehicle as part of a mobile patrol and area surveillance team
- Support local executive protection and event security operations
- Provide local secure transportation for executives
- Serve as a first responder for security incidents and medical emergencies
- Interact with local law enforcement officers
- Deliver high-level customer service to employees, executives, and visitors
- Identify and report safety or security concerns
- Perform patrols, respond to incidents, and manage access control
- Monitor safety and security equipment/systems (CCTV, Access Control, etc.)
- Work within a coordinated, well-structured protection program
Qualifications (Must Have):
- Must be 21 years of age
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
- Exceptional decision-making skills: ability to effectively operate under pressure.
- Discretion and integrity; trusted to handle sensitive information.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening (as permitted by law)
- Must be willing and able to obtain a valid Michigan Concealed Carry Permit (CCW) upon hire or currently possess one
- Must possess one or more of the following:
- Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
- Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) or verified work experience in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field
- Bachelor's degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
- A minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch
- Associate's degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service
- Professional appearance and demeanor; physically fit
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):
- Degree in an area of study relevant to this position
- Certification or training in security management, firearms, executive protection, etc.
