Three Bears Alaska is a growing, family-owned and operated chain of grocery stores with many locations across Alaska. We are, "Alaskans Serving Alaskans, Since 1980."
The Loss Prevention position is a pivotal member of our Three Bears Alaska team. A person in this position provides support to our stores in multiple facets. Professionalism, de-escalation and organization is incredibly important for the success of someone in this position. Additional duties include, removal of suspected and confirmed persons of interest from the sales floor, informing management of suspicious situations and maintaining a safe and customer friendly shopping and working environment. You will be expected to uphold both a professional and safe environment at all times.
The Loss Prevention role requires both independent and team-oriented work. As a supporting member to our stores, it is imperative that you complete tasks in a timely manner, and at times with minimal supervision. It is vital that you are able to succeed in a fast-paced environment, accurately monitor situations, and maintain confidentiality.
Open and flexible availability is required, previous relevant experience is preferred.
Experience/Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
- Security: 2 years (Preferred)
- Loss prevention: 1 year (Preferred)

Pay Range: Starting at $19.00/hr. (DOE)
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Weekend availability
Office Location and Travel:
- LOCATION: In person
- Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Working Environment Work is performed in a store setting with ability to speak and receive phone communications often. Work requires computer usage with strength, dexterity, coordination and visual acuity to use keyboard and video display terminal and other office equipment. Continuously standing, walking, reaching at/below shoulders, frequently lift/carry up to 50 pounds below waist, up to 75 pounds at waist/chest and occasional lifting of up to 75 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
