$31.70 - $38.62 / Hour

THE POSITION: Under supervision, performs duties within the Planning or Building Division of the Development Services Department requiring an understanding of land use and economic development and/or building activities; performs other work as required.

Minimum Qualifications

- Graduation from high school or GED program;
- Two (2) years of college with course work emphasis in planning or a related field preferred; AND
- Two (2) years' experience in planning or public administration with an emphasis in building construction, architecture, or engineering relating to the permitting, processing, or reviewing of building plans and specification, code enforcement or zoning compliance; OR
- An equivalent combination of training, education, and experience, which provides the capabilities to perform the described duties.
- Possession of a valid California Class “C” driver’s license

ORAL APPRAISAL INTERVIEW (Weighted 100%): September 10, 2026 (Tentative)
An appraisal will be made of the applicant's experience, education, training, certification, knowledge, skills, abilities, and personal qualifications for the position. A minimum passing score of 70% is required.
