This position is responsible for receiving, recording, and relaying critical information to support operational efficiency and exceptional guest service. Dispatchers monitor radio traffic, track mountain conditions and resource deployment, assist with incident response, and maintain accurate operational records.Responsibilities:Communication & CoordinationMaintain clear, concise, and professional communication across radio, phone, and digital platformsShare timely and accurate information with relevant departments to support guest service and operational efficiencyEnsure consistent messaging regarding terrain status and mountain operationsMonitoring & DispatchingContinuously monitor radio channels and dispatch phone linesReceive, evaluate, and prioritize incoming calls, including first aid and emergency situationsDetermine and deploy appropriate resources based on the nature of each situationIncident & Record ManagementAccurately log all communications, incidents, and operational updatesMaintain detailed records of radio transmissions, phone calls, and other relevant interactionsAssist in facilitating timely and effective incident responseProfessionalism & Situational AwarenessStay calm and focused under pressure, especially during high-stress or emergency situationsDemonstrate strong attention to detail and a commitment to confidentialityMaintain awareness of current mountain conditions and resource placementQualifications:Previous dispatching experience preferredStrong organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent verbal communication and interpersonal skillsComfortable using multiple platforms and dispatch systemsAvailability to work weekends and holidays during the winter seasonCompletion of ICS 100: Introduction to the Incident Command System (FEMA online course – approx. 2 hours) required prior to employmentProficient skiing abilityDATES OF EMPLOYMENT:11/30/2026-04/18/2027PAY RATE:$$20.00 - 24.00 per hour, depending on experienceDeer Valley Resort is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
