Job SummaryThe Greenville Recreation & Parks Department (GRPD) is currently recruiting Youth Athletics Site Attendants. This position will set up, clean up, oversee, and ensure league and park rules are being properly enforced using rule knowledge and consistent judgment. This position will work with other personnel to maintain a safe environment for participants and perform other miscellaneous duties.
Minimum Age: 18 years old, at the time of application
Hours: Monday - Friday between the hours of 5:00 pm and 9:00 pm, Saturday between the hours of 7:00 am - 3:00 pm and Sunday between the hours of 12:00pm and 6:00pm. The hours are flexible, pending program schedules.
Terms: September to May
Requirements:
- First Aid/CPR certification (required within 60 days of hire)
- Must be able to lift and/or carry more than 50 pounds
- This position requires working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Examples of Duties
- Arrive thirty minutes prior to scheduled game time with necessary equipment;
- Organize equipment and set up playing fields to ensure games start on time;
- Check the playing area for any safety hazards and address hazards that may occur; report issues immediately;
- Maintain league and park rules;
- Remain unbiased and avoid verbal confrontation;
- Break down fields, pick up trash, and complete the necessary paperwork at the end of each shift;
- Monitor and promote the sportsmanship of participants, spectators, and co-workers;
- Display respect for staff and the facility while providing exemplary customer service and leadership;
- Review and reference the policies and procedures of the Greenville Recreation and Parks Department and the league to remedy situations effectively;
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of:
- league rules and the Greenville Recreation and Parks Department policies and procedures.
