Security Dispatcher Department: Campus PoliceShift: Full-Time / 80 hours per pay period / Weekends & holidaysFacility: Upper Valley Medical CenterResponsible for dispatching Security calls, completion of dispatch log sheets, and the card access system. Assists patients, visitors, and employees by giving directions, over the phone, accurately. Controls parking and entrances to hospital by use of the Matrix card access system.Minimum Level of Education Required: High School completion / GEDMust pass Law Enforcement Automated Data System (LEADS) and Computerized Criminal History (CCH) certification requirements within thirty days of employment and maintain certification throughout employmentMinimum Level of Experience Required: No prior job-related work experiencePreferred experience: Previous experience in law enforcement as dispatcher desirableComputer skills desirableAbility to acquire International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety Basis TrainingAbility to acquire Incident Command system (ICS) IS 100 I.E.BThis position requires an individual able to work under pressure with many interruptions while remaining calm a pleasant to the public and facility personnel.
