Summary
Responsible for designing, implementing, and operating security controls in AWS and Kubernetes environments, the full-time Security Engineer III (HIPAA Required) will work remotely to translate governance, risk, and compliance requirements into practical guardrails and engineering standards while partnering with Infrastructure and application teams to enhance secure SDLC practices.Key responsibilitiesOwn cloud security engineering for AWS, defining guardrails and configuration baselines while driving remediation of cloud posture findingsEngineer security controls for Kubernetes and containerized workloads, enforcing policies and managing secrets effectivelyDrive secure SDLC controls, integrating scanning and policy gates for application code and infrastructure as code, while managing vulnerability assessments across the stackRequired qualifications5+ years in security engineering or related technical roles with hands-on experience in securing production AWS environmentsStrong expertise in AWS IAM and Kubernetes/container security, including implementing secure configurations and access patternsExperience implementing security controls in HIPAA-regulated environments, including encryption and logging retentionProficiency in automation and infrastructure as code tools, such as Terraform or Python/BashBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field preferred
