THE POSITION:

Under direction, to assist in providing administrative and budgetary guidance to department head and departmental administrative personnel regarding City services and business affairs; to conduct administrative studies and analyses; to submit recommendations and prepare reports; and to do related work as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Applications will be accepted only from those applicants who properly complete the City application and clearly demonstrate on the application, supplemental questionnaire, and resume that they possess the minimum qualifications which include:

ADMINISTRATIVE ANALYST I :
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university, with a major in Public or Business Administration, or closely related field; AND
  • One (1) year of administrative and/or financial experience; OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience which will provide the capabilities to perform the described duties .

ADMINISTRATIVE ANALYST II :
  • In addition to the above, must have two (2) years of administrative and/or financial experience equivalent to the City’s Administrative Analyst I class.


HIGHLY DESIRABLE: Experience with drafting and preparing agreements, contracts, or similar formal documents, as well as experience with grant administration.

EXAMINATION (Weighted: 100%) September 28th, 2026 (Tentative) : An appraisal will be made of the applicant's education, training, experience, and personal qualifications for the position. A minimum passing score of 70% is required. ** NOTE: Admission to the Examination may be limited to those applicants who demonstrate the best combination of qualifications. Applicants possessing the minimum qualifications are not guaranteed admittance to the Examination. Employment applications must be properly completed in accordance with instructions on the face of the application form. All pertinent information needed to determine that the applicant meets the minimum qualifications must be shown on the application, supplemental questionnaire, and resume; otherwise, the application may be rejected.
