Field Organizer - Columbus
Ohio Citizen Action is excited to expand our team with Field Organizers as we gear up for advocacy work at the state and local level. The Field Organizers primary role will be to engage with Ohioans through door-to-door canvassing (rain or shine!) We're looking for individuals who are passionate about electing climate champions and ensuring a more sustainable and equitable future for our communities. You'll be an essential part of our efforts to shape the future of Ohio.
This role reports to the Regional Field Director.
Role Responsibilities:
- Engage directly with Ohioans through door-to-door canvassing, discussing key issues and promoting a sustainable and equitable future for our communities.
- Educate and inform community members about Ohio Citizen Action's advocacy work and encourage participation in the democratic process.
- Empower communities by raising awareness and equipping them with the tools and knowledge to tackle critical issues together.
- Actively participate in staff meetings, campaign briefings, and events. Share ideas, contribute to discussions, and help shape our strategies.
- Accurately collect and report data from canvassing activities to help track campaign progress and impact.
- Travel to many of Ohio's diverse communities and encourage constituents to engage with their local and state officials on issues impacting their communities.
