Summary
Ramp Agent / Ground Support AgentThis position is responsible for providing all necessary under-wing and ground support services as contracted by the customer, including but not limited to loading and unloading baggage, cargo handling, aircraft marshalling, and safe operation of ramp equipment in compliance with airline and airport standards.Job ResponsibilitiesMarshall aircraft during arrival and departureUnload passenger luggage and air cargo, bulk and/or containers/pallets, onto carts and dolliesUnload wheelchairs and child strollers and deliver to designated locationsProvide special handling of luggage and cargo as requiredDeliver passenger luggage to claim area and unload onto conveyor systemsDeliver air cargo to appropriate recipientsDrive and/or operate ground support equipment including tow tractors, belt loaders, baggage tugs, cargo dollies, lavatory/water service trucks, air stairs, and passenger vansCollect and load mail, live animals, wheelchairs, and child strollers onto aircraftPerform aircraft cleaning as neededInspect ramp areas adjacent to gates and aircraft for debris and dispose of when foundComply with all federal, state, municipal, airport authority, and airline security requirementsPerform other duties as assigned by leadershipQualificationsAbility to lift heavy objects up to 70 poundsPrevious ramp experience is a plusValid, unexpired Driver's LicenseGood communication skillsMust be able to work in inclement weather conditionsFlexible to work various shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidaysExcellent safety awarenessAbility to successfully complete Department of Aviation background screening requirementsAuthorized to work in the United States – We Use E-VerifyPhysical Requirements & Work EnvironmentContinuous lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and walking throughout shiftFrequent work around moving aircraft and ramp equipmentExposure to outdoor weather conditions including heat, rain, wind, and noiseFast-paced airport ramp environment with strict safety proceduresReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functionsUS Aviation Services Perks & Benefits401(k) retirement account with company matchHealth, dental, vision, and life insurancePaid time off and holiday payUniforms providedWork in a fast-paced, exciting airport environmentRecognition programs and performance incentivesEarliest Start Time: 4:00 AM
