JR2026-00028775 Corrections Intel Analyst - Reception and Treatment Center (Open)The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) Central Intelligence Unit (CIU) is seeking a highly skilled Intel Analyst to join the CIU team at the Reception and Treatment Center (RTC). The chosen candidate should have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines. All CIU positions are assigned under Central Office and are tasked to support specific facilities. All CIU positions are subject to respond to any NDCS facility for intelligence support.Duties:Gather information from a variety of sources to include video reviews, phone calls, electronic messages, contraband cellphones, facility reports and interviews.Helps keep people safe by analyzing information to create intelligence products to assist with daily operations and decision making. Helps identify trends and threats. Inmate/offender monitoring may either be direct or indirect.Enforces facility rules and regulations governing the conduct of inmates/offenders.Documents inmate/offender behavior, status, and movement. Searches inmates'/offenders' person, quarters, and work areas for contraband.Recommends improvements to security procedures when appropriate. May be required to provide support to other facilities as needed.Requirements / QualificationsMinimum Qualifications: At least 18 years of age; high school education or equivalent; valid driver's license; and must be able to legally possess a firearm and ammunition.Preferred Qualifications: One year corrections experience. Experience in developing and understanding trends in culture that affect organizations. Experience or knowledge of both street and prison gangs. Experience in gathering intelligence, and conducting interviews in a prison setting. Experience in preparing and interpreting statistical reports.Other: Must have a valid driver's license. Must be able to work at other facilities as needed.
