Scheduling & Logistics:

  • The position is hybrid.
  • Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Job Summary:

Provides support to attorneys in all aspects of employment-related immigration matters. Includes tracking employees' immigration status, performing tasks related to preparing and filing immigration petitions, and maintaining accurate case records.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs tasks related to case preparation and filing petitions with government agencies (e.g., H-1B, NIE, O-1, TN, PERM, I-140, I-485, naturalization applications). Includes correspondence with foreign nationals and client contacts to gather supporting documents and ensuring applicable posting requirements, appropriate prevailing wage determinations and other conditions precedent are in place.
  • Utilizes strong knowledge of immigration forms and procedures to serve as a primary point of contact for clients (HR, Operations Leaders, Team Members) regarding case status and required documentation.
  • Provides clear instructions and guidance on immigration processes and timelines. Reviews manager and team members provided documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintains case files and tracks deadlines to ensure compliance and proper documentation management.
  • Creates and maintains in accordance with organizational and legal retention requirements, and ensures appropriate organizational access to Public Access Files.
  • Assists internal and external counsel in preparing responses to Requests for Evidence (RFEs) and audits. Interacts with external counsel on relevant matters, while ensuring good stewardship of billing costs.
  • Schedules appointments, manages calendars, and coordinates with internal teams, while managing multiple priorities and meeting all due dates.
  • May provide support to attorneys on other legal employment matters.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience and education

EXPERIENCE

  • Two years experience in immigration law or legal support role engaged with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, Department of Labor, and immigration processes

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
  • Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
  • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
  • Rare climbing.
