This internship introduces you to the classroom setting and is a great opportunity for students who want to explore teaching, social work, physical therapy, occupational therapy, counseling, speech therapy or other human service‑oriented careers.Key ResponsibilitiesStudent Interaction: Interact with and support students during activities such as breakfast, lunch, learning activities, socialization and recreation time under teacher supervision.Classroom Preparation: Assist with classroom activities, set‑up, organization and clean‑up.Team Collaboration: Work closely with teaching and support staff to ensure a positive learning environment.Data Collection: Assist with data collection and willingness to learn assistive technology.QualificationsMust be 16+ years old.Interns must complete all Salem Public Schools required paperwork before the start of the internship.Interns must be able to work all 5 weeks up to 20 hours per week.Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and contribute to the team.Good communication skills.Attendance: report to work as scheduled, sign in, and remain on the job until dismissed.Notify the summer director at the earliest possible time when unable to work.Displays patience, a positive attitude and willingness to learn to work with students with a wide variety of abilities.Open to feedback and working collaboratively.Number of openings: 4Pay: $17.00/hrPosition Type: Part‑TimeJob RequirementsCitizenship, residency or work visa required.#J-18808-Ljbffr
