Job Type: 1099 OR W2 EngagementAnnualized Pay Range: up to $125,000 W2, 1099 engagement up to $73/hrPosition Summary:Concordant is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Classification Specialist to support federal position classification and job analysis activities. This role is ideal for professionals with 10+ years of experience in federal HR classification, looking to contribute their expertise in an on- site work environment.Key Responsibilities:Review and evaluate position descriptions (PDs) to ensure they align with Office of Personnel Management (OPM) classification standards and federal HR policy.Conduct desk audits and job analysis interviews—both virtual and on-site—to validate PD accuracy and determine proper title, series, and grade.Collaborate with managers, supervisors, and HR teams to draft, revise, and finalize PDs and supporting documentation.Prepare evaluation statements and classification decisions based on regulatory guidance and sound HR principles.Provide advice on position management, organizational structuring, and compliance with federal classification policies.Contribute to initiatives such as career path development, competency frameworks, and workforce analysis.Maintain records and classification databases in alignment with contract requirements and agency policies.Qualifications:Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in federal position classificationWorking knowledge of OPM classification standards and federal job grading methodologies.At least 5 years of experience classifying training-related positions (e.g., GS-1700 series)Strong analytical skills and the ability to produce legally defensible classification determinations.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Ability to manage tasks independently in a remote or hybrid environment.Secret Security Clearance that is activePreferred:Familiarity with federal HR systems (e.g., eOPF, USA Staffing, DCPDS).Experience supporting federal agencies in a contractor or consultant role.Comfortable conducting in-person desk audits and briefings when required.OPM experienceAdditional Information:This position is listed as a W2 full time position.Occasional travel may be required and is reimbursable in accordance with contract terms.Flexible scheduling available within standard business hours.401(k)Employee assistance programHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceAbout Concordant LLCConcordant LLC is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and SBA HUBZone-certified federal government contractor headquartered in Laramie, Wyoming.Concordant LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
