Personnel Security Specialist

Type: Full Time Location: Washington DC Overtime Exempt: No Reports To: ARMADA HQ Security Clearance Required: TS/SCI w/ CI Poly **********CONTINGENT UPON AWARDING OF GOVERNMENT CONTRACT****** Personnel Security Specialist provide administrative and operational support for personnel security clearance processing and records management. Ensures compliance with Government clearance policies and maintains accurate security documentation to support mission operations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Personnel Security Specialists will process security clearances by collecting, reviewing, submitting, and tracking required documentation
  • Maintain personnel security records and update security databases
  • Personnel Security Specialists will track clearance status and ensure data accuracy across systems
  • Coordinate clearance actions with internal staff and Government stakeholders
  • Respond to security-related administrative inquiries and customer service requests
  • Personnel Security Specialists will prepare clearance reports, correspondence, and status trackers
  • Ensure compliance with clearance policies and regulatory requirements
  • Personnel Security Specialists will provide general administrative support to security operations
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs): The Personnel Security Specialists must have the:

  • Ability to apply fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments.
  • Understanding of DoD and IC security clearance procedures (Secret, TS/SCI, SAP), documentation requirements, and adjudication processes.
  • Knowledge of applicable regulations such as DoD 5200 Series, Executive Orders, and security program instructions.
  • Knowledge of maintaining personnel security records, databases, and tracking systems (e.g., JPAS, DISS, or local equivalents).
  • Familiarity with standard office procedures, documentation protocols, correspondence, and report preparation.
  • Understanding of safeguarding sensitive or classified information and proper handling of security documentation.

Minimum/General Experience:

  • 3 - 10 years of relevant experience.

Minimum Education:

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent
