This position is contingent upon contract award.Roles and ResponsibilitiesSupport planning and organization of facility maintenance, upgrades, and improvement projectsAssist the Project Manager with daily execution of work, long-range program growth, and alignment of construction programs with mission prioritiesContribute to the development and management of long-range Sustainment Restoration and Modernization (SRM) requirement plans and provide engineering, financial, and audit support to strengthen program performance and process improvementsHelp form, manage, and execute SRM projects related to real property and facility constructionCoordinate and document trouble calls to ensure timely resolutionSupport execution of MILCON and strategic projects across multiple sites, providing solutions to technical and schedule challenges and ensuring alignment with organizational goalsAssist in coordinating project schedules, budgets, milestones, and resources; analyze scope, cost, and schedule requirements to validate planning estimatesMaintain data accuracy across project databases and communicate updates, risks, and statuses to project teams and stakeholdersAttend meetings with officials and partner agencies to support collaborative planning and executionCoordinate ongoing communication with stakeholders to manage expectations throughout the project lifecycleAssist with developing facility estimates, space analyses, cost justifications, site approvals, environmental documentation, and supporting data for MILCON/SRM program actionsReview architectural and engineering plans/specifications for accuracy, compliance with standards, and alignment with project goalsSynthesize planning data to develop informed recommendations, requirements, and project documentationAssist with justification packages for new facility construction and major renovations under MILCON and SRM programsCommunicate clearly at all organizational levels to build consensus, resolve issues, and secure approvalsSupport coordination of command self-help projects with component commandsRequired Qualifications and ExperienceEight years' experience working as project manager or coordinator in construction or related environments, such as civil engineering, power plants, and production line managementAbility to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resourcesKnowledge of practices, procedures, laws, and regulations pertaining to operations and maintenance, fire protection, disaster preparedness, housing management, environmental management, and human resource managementSix years' experience working with Navy Facilities procedures to include initiating new projects and understanding of related documentationSix (6) years' experience with the MILCON processKnowledge of MILCON and Operations and Maintenance ProgramsSix (6) years' experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications of several engineering disciplines normally associated with the construction of new facilitiesKnowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and proceduresFive years' experience working with phased maintenance and condition-directed repair concepts on buildings and/or equipmentFive years' experience investigating, analyzing, planning, and implementing corrective action through process improvement and establishing effective cost controls for maintenance problems on buildings and/or equipmentBachelor's degree or higherCompany OverviewRMGS, Inc. is a growing small business headquartered in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
