Location: 5857 State Route 96, Farmington, New York 14425Work Unit: Division of Horse Racing and Pari-Mutuel WageringBargaining Unit: PEFWork Schedule: Monday through Friday9:00 AM - 5:00 PM with additional hours including weekends and holidays.Travel: Up to 50% travel may be required.DutiesConducts investigations, and interviews of alleged violations relative to the conduct of racing, including equine incidents, or such related matters concerning police activities and law enforcement at the racetracks.Compiles and submits reports to the Gaming Commission regarding these activities.Conducts surveillance at the racetracks to determine and assist in relieving problems of administrative control and security including identification and exclusion of unlicensed individuals and other persons engaged in possible unlawful activities.Gives testimony as required at hearings concerning suspensions, revocations, and other proceedings regarding evidence resulting from investigations.Other responsibilities as assigned, which may include travel to assist in other investigations, assisting with drug testing for licensees, and assisting with the Bureau of Licensing.Preferred QualificationsSix years of criminal investigative experience involving fraud, corruption, organized crime, gambling, or other related experience, of which six months must be in the horse racing industry.
