Position Responsibilities The C2BMC Watch Officer (CWO) will report to the C2BMC Command Center (CCC) Operations Lead and is responsible for day-to-day oversight and guidance of 125+ personnel (24x7 crew filling CCC crew positions and globally dispersed assets) based on overarching direction/guidance and objectives. The CWO is responsible for the oversight and management of all C2BMC operations, including monitoring and reporting on the health and status of the global C2BMC enterprise. The CWO oversees C2BMC Operations & Maintenance (O&M), network monitoring, and network defense of the C2BMC mission systems, and makes day-to-day decisions on the operations floor to assure the availability, quality, and security of services vital to C2BMC mission systems operations, command and control (C2), and information sharing. Responsible for the accuracy of all reports, keeping leadership informed, recommending courses of action, and maintaining the current status of all systems at all times. The CWO maintains operations floor integrity, ensures crew members are appropriately trained, certified, and able to perform all assigned missions, ensures shifts are properly manned, and performs thorough changeover briefs. The CWO holds emerging oversight responsibilities to assist the Global C2BMC Operations floor in executing its duties. The CWO will direct crews to troubleshoot network issues and support cyberdefensive operations. Working closely with the Global Shift Lead, the CWO will advise on actions being taken and keep the CCC Lead and government leadership informed of any requirements needed to support Global C2BMC mission execution.

Position requires 24x7 shift work. Candidate will be assigned to a rotating 12-hr shift, to be determined by mission requirements. Some substitute rotation during off-shifts, including nights and weekends, will be required.

Performs other related duties and assignments as required.

Basic Qualifications

  • Must be capable of obtaining a TS/SCI clearance and getting indoctrinated into a higher than secret program
  • Must have excellent communication and presentation skills and be capable of briefing senior leaders on complex issues
  • Experienced in Project Management, Planning and Resource Management
  • Experience with leading personnel in operations and/or maintenance of large-scale computer and communications systems/networking
  • Experience or knowledge of enterprise network, systems, and cyber defense capabilities and management
  • Effective communications and ability to brief technical system and network issues and overall system reports to program management and customer leadership using appropriate tools such as Microsoft Visio and PowerPoint
  • Personal knowledge and practical experience to direct the assessment and development of Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) and/or Operating Instructions (OIs) to effectively administer, operate and manage services under C2BMC operational control
  • Proficiency in Microsoft, Project, Word, PowerPoint and Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI preferred
  • Experience in liaising with other DoD Agencies and associated Missile Defense Systems operations/organizations
  • Experience with U.S. Space Force, USSTRATCOM, or working within the space domain

Education Required Generally has 5+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline.
