Aircraft Ramp Agent (PDX) Portland, OR – $22.00 per hour – Part Time – Shift Hours: Sun - Thurs 4pm - 8pm – Must have weekend availability – Must be able to obtain a SIDA airport badge – Must pass a pre-employment drug screen that includes THC – Shift for this role will be Thursday - Sunday.Quantem Aviation Services is a premier aircraft handling provider offering cargo warehousing, mail handling, ramp handling, terminal services, and GSE fuel supply and maintenance services.Benefits Insurance – health, dental and life401(k) retirement plan with company matchEmployee Assistance ProgramEmployee discountsCompetitive wagesFlexible scheduleCareer advancement and mentorship opportunitiesOn the job training$300 referral bonuses – unlimitedDailyPayPosition Overview As a Ramp Agent you will work as part of a team delivering safe and efficient aircraft services, providing the highest level of customer service, keeping passengers and aircraft moving safely and on time.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Properly and safely loads and unloads freight, including build up and break down of cargo pallets and freight containers following guidelines.Holds equipment certifications and operates equipment safely.Obtains proper security documents for all shipments.Verifies upon receipt from customer shipment pieces, weight, dimensions and airworthiness.Verifies upon delivery to customer shipment pieces and airway bill numbers.Required Skills and Experience High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Maintain and treat all information as confidential.Possess the tact to deal with all levels of employees and client representatives.Must be able to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English.Must be able to verbally direct in English.A valid driver's license is required for this position.Work Environment Warehouse – physically strenuous, prolonged periods of time standing with exposure to noise (may be excessive at times), safe but potentially unpleasant odors, varying temperatures and humidity, in and around heavy moving equipment.Outdoor – prolonged periods of time standing with exposure to prevalent weather, dust, dirt, fuel, fumes and noise, in or around heavy equipment and moving vehicles.Physical Demands Must be able to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms.Must be able to speak and hear efficiently.Able to lift, push, pull up to 75 pounds at times.Ability to climb ladders of up to 15 feet in height.Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing and pulling.The Inland Group of Companies maintains a drug‑free workplace and, as such, all candidates and employees can expect to participate in our drug testing program.
