Summary
Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Team Lead to support a classified DoD environment within the JWICS (Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System) network. This individual will serve as the primary cybersecurity lead for the program, working directly with government stakeholders while providing technical guidance and task leadership to a small team of cybersecurity and IT professionals.
The ideal candidate will possess strong Risk Management Framework (RMF) expertise, experience supporting ATO activities, and the ability to communicate complex cybersecurity concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Serve as the cybersecurity lead supporting a classified JWICS environment
Act as the primary interface with government cybersecurity leadership and customers
Lead and mentor a small team of cybersecurity and IT personnel
Coordinate cybersecurity activities across system administration, networking, and infrastructure teams
Support RMF compliance efforts and maintain accreditation documentation
Assist with ATO maintenance activities and cybersecurity reporting requirements
Track risks, vulnerabilities, compliance requirements, and remediation efforts
Lead recurring meetings and brief program status, risks, issues, and successes to government stakeholders
Provide technical guidance and direction to team members while ensuring task completion
Communicate complex cybersecurity concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Support mission-critical operations within a highly secure and classified environment

Skills and Requirements
Active Secret Clearance (ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret access)
Bachelor's degree in a computer science or similar related field
7–12 years of relevant experience
Strong cybersecurity background with experience supporting DoD or government environments
Experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
Experience supporting or maintaining Authority to Operate (ATO) packages
Cybersecurity compliance documentation:
System Security Plans (SSPs)
POA&Ms
STIG compliance activities
CompTIA Security+ or equivalent IAT Level II certification
Previous experience serving as a team lead, technical lead, or mentor
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact directly with government customers
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a mission-focused environment Active Top Secret Clearance
Previous experience supporting JWICS environments
Experience supporting programs at Hill AFB or within the Air Force cybersecurity community
Experience conducting cybersecurity control assessments
Experience developing or managing RMF accreditation packages
Background in systems administration, networking, or broader IT infrastructure
Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
Higher-level cybersecurity certifications beyond Security+ (CISSP, CASP+, CISM, etc.)
Experience briefing leadership and presenting cybersecurity program status to government stakeholders
