Summary
USACE Site Safety Officer
The USACE Site Safety Officer supports specific client and project needs by ensuring best practices are implemented, safety compliance requirements are met, and enhance a culture of safety.
Responsibilities include:
- Oversee all aspects of construction and dredging projects ensuring USACE (EM-3851-1) compliance
- Conduct daily safety meetings
- Complete accident reports and conduct accident investigations
- Daily safety audits and inspections
- Oversee Fall Protection, Scaffolding, Steel Erection, and Excavation
Qualifications include:
- 5 years of direct construction and/or dredging safety experience
- USACE (United States Army Corps Engineers) experience preferred
- OHSA 30 Hour Construction; you must provide a WALLET card (paper certifications are not acceptable)
- EM 385 1-1 certification preferred
- First Aid CPR; on-line trainings will not be accepted
- Able to provide proof of 8 hours of safety training and or education every year for the last three (3) years. Important note: The OSHA 30 and First Aid do not count toward the 8 hour of training every year for the last three (3) years. This training is in addition to the 30 hour construction certification and First Aid.
- Experience working on military bases and/or dredging projects helpful
