Stroger HospitalDEPARTMENT: SecuritySHIFT: 10:45 p.m. - 6:45 a.m.This position is exempt from Career Service under the CCH Personnel Rules.Job SummaryThe Hospital Police Officer Registry will protect and ensure the safety of Cook County Health (CCH) employees, patients and visitors to the hospital and its adjacent campus and grounds. Patrols assigned areas, monitors crowds and traffic, responds to incidents as they occur. Complete incident and other reports, as required. Liaison with other law enforcement agencies regarding are crime conditions for CCH. Maintains completed status for various annual certification requirements. This is a part-time registry position with an opportunity to work no more than eighteen hours per week.Typical DutiesProtects and ensure the safety of Hospital employees, patients and visitors to the hospital and its adjacent campus and grounds.Patrols assigned areas.Monitors crowds and traffic.Responds to incidents as they occur.Completes incident and other reports, as required.Liaisons with other law enforcement agencies regarding are crime conditions at CCH.Maintains completed status for various annual certification requirements.Must be able to work up to 9-hours per day but no more than 18 hours per week.Performs other duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsCertified Police OfficerPrior experience as a Certified Police OfficerMust possess a valid Illinois Driver's License. (Must provide license at time of interview)Must possess a valid Firearm Owner's Identification (FOID) card issued by the State of Illinois.
