Summary

We are now located at 185 Old Ferry Road, Brattleboro The Windham County Sheriff's Office is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Per-Diem Deputy Sheriffs. This position offers a flexible schedule and is ideal for certified officers seeking additional experience or income, as well as individuals interested in starting a career in law enforcement. Duties may include patrol operations, motor vehicle enforcement, prisoner transports, construction zone safety, community events, security details, DUI enforcement, and other assignments as needed. Vermont Criminal Justice Training Council Level II or Level III certification is preferred; however, qualified candidates without certification are encouraged to apply, and training opportunities are available. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, possess a valid driver's license, hold a high school diploma or GED, and be able to pass a background investigation, polygraph examination, and physical fitness requirements.
