Must have 2 years of supervisory experience within the last 3 years or military background.
Must have a clean background and clean driving record.
As an Armed Field Security Officer you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as commercial real estate, healthcare, education, government and more.
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, enforce site-specific policies, and if appropriate emergency response.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter. Work environment and conditions may vary by client site.
- Assure officers receive appropriate training in developing both their technical and professional skills; also provide performance management (coaching, counseling, disciplining, performance evaluations, recognition, etc.).
- Utilize scheduling software to produce reports (such as Scheduling Activity, Training Detail reports, etc.) that require interpretation and action for effective management.
- Listen to and act upon employee grievances with help from appropriate branch or region HR support.
- Participate in industry specific security/safety training programs
Qualifications:
- Possess effective written and oral communication skills and good interpersonal skills to deal with all levels of client personnel and the general public in a professional manner.
- Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative wireless technology for personnel management and fulfilling security duties.
- Possess the skills to handle crisis situations at client sites in a calm and efficient manner.
Minimum requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Possess a current Guard Card and Firearm Permit and any other licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations that may be required prior to employment.
- As a condition of employment the candidate must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Possess a valid driver's license, required for driving positions only.
- Must have at least 2 years of security supervisory experience within the past 3 years; or military and/or law enforcement experience.
