It is not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, skills, requirements, or working conditions associated with the role.Duties Enforce laws and ordinances to maintain peace and protect life and property;Patrol assigned sectors for the prevention of crime and investigate suspicious activities;Arrest violators of laws and ordinances;Respond to emergency calls, accidents, and other incidents;Enforces all traffic laws; issues citations and warnings;Ability to investigate and complete reports of collisions to include private property collisions;Serve criminal warrants, and court orders;Conduct investigations of criminal cases and gather, preserve, and analyze facts and evidence;Conduct follow-up investigations of preliminary investigative reports, as needed;Interview complainants, victims, witnesses, and suspects;Prepare detailed reports of incidents and investigations;Testify in criminal court on various matters, including findings of investigations;High School Diploma or GEDP.O.S.T.
