The City of Greenwood Village is seeking a POST Certified Police Officer for its Police Department. This position is non-exempt/hourly with a salary range of $36.43 - $51.68 per hour, commensurate with experience. Benefits include health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life and AD&D insurance, disability insurance, retirement plans with matching, employee assistance programs, education reimbursement, recreation reimbursement program, vacation accrual, sick leave, and 11 paid holidays.

This position is located in Greenwood Village, Colorado, and does not offer relocation assistance or remote/hybrid schedules. The job requires the candidate to be at least twenty-one (21) years of age, possess or be able to obtain a valid Colorado driver license, a P.O.S.T. certificate from the State of Colorado, and CPR and First Aid certificates. An Associate of Arts degree or completion of 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours from an accredited community college with major course work in criminal justice, police science, or a related field is preferred.

The position involves performing patrol duties, crime prevention, traffic enforcement, and providing assistance to other officers. Officers may be required to assist in areas of work that are not directly related to their specific job function during emergency situations. The job requires knowledge of police methods and procedures, criminal law, first aid principles, and the ability to communicate clearly and establish cooperative working relationships.
