Salary will be based on current qualifications, directly related experience, geographic location, and possible contractual requirements which could fall outside of this range.ResponsibilitiesSupport logistics and supply chain management for high-value, mission-critical defense programs including the execution and oversight of maintenance planning, material support, supplier coordination, and logistics process improvementSustain lifecycle logistics, incorporating prescribed acquisition-driven strategies, supplier risk mitigation, and readiness planning to enhance operational availability of configured end itemsCoordinate and interact with engineering, maintenance, supply, and program management teams to resolve sustainment risks and align sustainment outcomes to mission executionSupport procurement activities, vendor and supply chain performance, ensuring compliance with DoD regulations (including FAR/DFARS) and best practicesVerify technical procedures, maintenance documentation, and logistics training materials to support end users and maintainers at all levelsDraft reports, briefs, and performance metrics for program leadership decision support and strategic sourcing initiativesExecute inventory audits, repairable asset management recommendations, spares planning and provisioning, and transportation of goods, support audits of program configuration end itemsParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Continuous Improvement methodologiesQualificationsMinimum of 3-10 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or related DoD/acquisition logistics functions, within operational environmentsProven success supporting and reporting on large-value material inventories, direct participation in cross-functional logistics team services, and superior audit/inspection outcomesComprehensive supply chain risk management, inventory/accountability governance, and end-to-end lifecycle logistics strategies.Experience with multiple vendor type management and interaction servicing procurement collaboration, contract lifecycle support, and readiness optimizationDemonstrated ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, high-visibility Department of Defense environments with full compliance to U.S. Navy and NAVSUP processes and proceduresExcellent communication and interpersonal skills—verbal, non-verbal, written, and listening—for staff, customer, and organizational level communications, both formal and informalAbility to work independently, self-starterWorking knowledge and use of Microsoft Office suite programs, MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.Desired ExperienceDemonstrated history of high-value inventory management with zero-loss outcomesExperience conducting logistics interface between engineering, sustainment, and operational commandsExpertise in development of logistics training courses, technical documentation, and SOPs for DoD systemsEDUCATIONDegree: BS or BA degree in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, or a relevant technical discipline.Allowable Substitution: An additional 6 years of relevant work experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree (6+3=9), or 4 additional years of work experience with a relevant associate degree (6+4+3=13).CLEARANCE – SecretCondition of Employment: Applicant must have an active DoD Secret Clearance.
