Job Details Location: Jones Hall – Houston, TX 77002Position Type: Part TimeSalary Range: $19.00 – $20.00 hourlyJob Title: Chorus LibrarianDepartment: ArtisticReports to: Senior Director, Artistic PlanningStatus: Part‑time, Hourly (approximately 10 hours per pay period; schedule must be flexible; workload varies by season, rehearsals, performances and occasional travel)Essential Job Functions Assist in music collating and preparation for distribution as necessaryOversee music distribution at rehearsalsOversee process of rented/borrowed music returns and accounting for each member's musicMaintain chorus libraryUpload music markings and other musical information to the chorus portal on the website as neededCommunicate with staff chorus manager and other staff as needed regarding outstanding music owed by membersRetrieve music from library and ensure delivery of music to rehearsal and/or performance locationsWork with chorus manager and other relevant staff to evaluate, develop and maintain music policies and proceduresRespond to members' questions regarding music policies and proceduresCoordinate with chorus manager and other relevant staff to ensure music is available to singers in a timely mannerRespond to external music library inquiriesCoordinate with the orchestra library as neededOther duties as assignedQualifications Degree in Music strongly preferredOrchestral and/or choral library experience requiredMust have a positive manner, strong interpersonal skills, and collaborative teamwork styleMust possess keen organizational skillsMust be a self‑starter capable of managing multiple tasks and able to follow them through to completionShould be a clear, concise communicator in writing as well as in public speakingExperience in organizing groups and working with volunteers is desiredAble and willing to delegateAble to navigate the electronic music library database and have adequate computer skillsExperience with OPAS or other similar software is a plus#J-18808-Ljbffr
