Solid Waste Technician I or Solid Waste Technician II

Summary

The City of Cody is seeking to fill either the position of Solid Waste Tech I or Solid Waste Tech II (CDL preferred).

The Solid Waste Technician I is responsible for providing support for the City's recycling operations. This position: assists the public with uploading recycling materials from vehicles; operates forklift as needed to load and prepare trailers for transportation of packaged recyclables; operates and maintains light to heavy equipment; provides support to other departments and the general public on recycling and solid waste issues. This position's schedule may vary and could include weekends. A valid Wyoming driver license is required, and this position must be able to obtain a commercial driver license (CDL) within 6 months. This is a full-time position starting at $20.53/hr. and includes the City's full benefit package.

The Solid Waste Technician II operates a refuse truck along an assigned route to collect and transport solid waste. A valid commercial driver license (CDL) is required. This is a full-time position starting at $22.66/hr. and includes the City's full benefit package.
