Summary

Solid Waste Flow Control Officer - Cortland County Solid WasteThis position exists at the Cortland County Landfill and has the responsibility for the investigation of alleged flow control violations. The incumbent follows through with procedures to ensure that each case is properly presented to the Solid Waste hearing board, as well as, maintaining records relating to violations. The incumbent has responsibility to ensure that disposal of recycled and solid waste conforms to agreements between the County and the hauler as well as Cortland County's local law. The work is performed under the direct supervision of the Supervisor, Solid Waste Management and the Superintendent of Highways. Supervision over the work of others is not a responsibility of this class.
