Summary

Sheriff's Data TechnicianKing County Sheriff's Data Technicians handle critical communication and records management between deputies, courts, and law enforcement databases. Core Responsibilities include:Data Management: Research, enter, modify, verify, and delete time-sensitive criminal justice data.Information Relay: Transmit messages via radio, telephone, and local, state, national, or international computer networks.Record Maintenance: Keep up-to-date electronic and paper files on warrants, court orders, stolen property, and missing or dangerous persons.Agency Support: Respond quickly to data and identification requests from field officers and outside criminal justice organizations.This position is a civil service classified position. The recruitment and hiring process will be administered in accordance with King County Civil Service Rules. This work is done in person, there is not an option to telecommute. Work Schedule: This position is eligible for overtime. The Data Unit operates 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, which includes holidays and nights.
