In this role, you will deliver advisory and internal audit projects for state and local government and public sector entities. You will lead day-to-day project activities, perform data-driven analysis, and contribute to high-quality client deliverables while mentoring junior team members.Key Responsibilities:Lead and execute public sector advisory and internal audit engagementsConduct client interviews, walkthroughs, data analysis, testing, and researchDocument results in workpapers and draft clear, insightful reportsManage project tasks to ensure on-time, on-budget deliveryAssist with staff development and supervisionCollaborate effectively with clients and engagement teamsParticipate in training, conferences, and firm initiativesQualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field3+ years of public sector experience in public accounting, audit, or internal controlsCertification preferred (CPA, CIA, CFE, PMP, etc.), or willingness to pursueStrong analytical, writing, and presentation skillsProven ability to manage multiple priorities in high-pressure environmentsWillingness to travel (10–20%)Why MGOHybrid flexibility and progressive time-off policyPeople-first culture focused on growth, trust, and inclusionOpportunities to build expertise and advance within a fast-growing firmCompensation: $85,000 – $120,000 plus comprehensive benefits package.
