This Mid-Level Targeting Analyst position supports Joint Base Langley‑Eustis and focuses on developing, analyzing, and managing targets for Air Force and Joint operations. The role blends all‑source analysis, targeting expertise, and hands‑on work with key systems such as MIDB, JTT, NPW, PTM, and JASSM‑related tools. Candidates will support both deliberate and dynamic targeting, produce battle damage assessments, manage target databases, and contribute to mission planning and prioritization. This position is ideal for analysts with Air Force targeting experience who are comfortable working independently, collaborating across the IC, and producing high‑quality, mission‑critical intelligence products.Required QualificationsExperience with the modernized integrated database (MIDB) and tools that interact with MIDB, specifically Joint Targeting Toolbox (JTT) and National Production Workshop (NPW).AF targeting related operational experience inclusive of tactical aircraft operations, targeting or weaponeering experience.Knowledge of AF JASSM missile parameters, Precision Targeting Module (PTM) and JASSM Enterprise Management System (JEMS) operating systems and weapon system routing and visualization capabilities.Knowledge of NTM imaging systems and tasking procedures and National Geospatial Agency imagery delivery systems (NGDS, CIL, NIL, iStore, etc.) is also required.Knowledge of the IC Enterprise.Knowledge of Air Force and Joint targeting doctrine. Candidate must have a broad understanding of AF intelligence functions and the targeting cycle.Familiarization with the JASSM production workflow systems, databases, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to include, but not limited to, JASSM Enterprise Management System (JEMS), On Target, Joint Targeting Toolkit (JTT), National Production Workshop (NPW), and Google Earth.Excellent presentation skills, organization skills, analytic skills, problem solving ability, and attention to detail.Job DutiesDevelops targets and target systems for joint lethal and / or non‑lethal engagements.Develops target nominations, creates database records, and databases target intelligence products.Produces all‑source analytic damage estimates and battle damage assessments and assists with combat assessment requirements.Conducts collateral damage estimation, performs target list management, target strategy development, and provides joint target intelligence support to deliberate and dynamic target engagements.Provides recommendations for target prioritization to achieve commander objectives for plans and operations.Provides database nominations, creates, and updates database and uploads TMs into databases.Demonstrates comprehensive mission knowledge and skills that affirms completion of all developmental training and experiences for the labor category.Demonstrates ability to communicate understanding from information that may be incomplete, indirect, highly complex, seemingly unrelated, and / or technically advanced. Demonstrates ability to structure analysis based on trends in reporting and a range of analytic perspectives from other analysts, organizations, and intelligence disciplines.Demonstrates ability to collaborate and work with other IC members on information sharing, driving collection, and addressing analytic disputes and conflict resolution.Demonstrates ability to develop concise, insightful, and comprehensive products for defense intelligence.Demonstrates ability to lead teams in researching multifaceted or critical problems. Provides guidance in selecting, designing, and applying analytic methodologies.
