SALARY: $15.92 per hour

OPENING DATE: 8/26/2026

UNIT: Unaffiliated (Part-time)

DEPARTMENT: Library and Tutoring Services

REPORTS TO: Director, Library and Tutoring Services

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Supports departmental activities and the daily operations of the Library and Learning Center to provide excellent customer services including front desk operations, circulation, and stack maintenance projects.
  2. Performs technical services, resource sharing, and/or digital library development using an integrated library system (ILS) and other related library software systems.
  3. Assists patrons with accessing computers, printing, other library technology and equipment, and study areas.
  4. Refers research and tutoring questions to appropriate staff.
  5. Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and work independently

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong ability to confidently work with technology and troubleshoot

• Experience in customer service

• Experience working in a library

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION:

SCHEDULE: Up to 20 hours per week

Daytime and evening hours required
