We are proud to serve the people of Louisiana with integrity, innovation, and a deep commitment to equity.Join Our Team at DCFS: Child Support Enforcement ConsultantThis position supports several ongoing Program Integration responsibilities, including coordinating and tracking DA site visits and IRS Internal Inspection Audits to ensure they are completed timely, maintaining the related compliance documentation and statistical data, and coordinating with PI Consultants, District Attorney offices, and CSE Operations to address IV-D program compliance issues.QualificationsSix years of experience in child support enforcement; ORSix years of full-time work experience in any field plus three years of experience in child support enforcement; ORA bachelor's degree plus three years of experience in child support enforcement; ORA master's degree plus two years of experience in child support enforcement.EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.The official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found here.Job DutiesMonitors and disburses the CAFE unassigned and former employee queues for all offices, across the state, daily.Serves as the CSE Agency's Noncriminal Agency coordinator(NAC) for the CSE criminal background checks.Responsible for maintaining the Authorized Personnel List on file with the LSP Bureau.Schedules and conducts annual site visit with attorneys to go over monthly reports for clarifications, inspect offices to ensure case records are secure, and audits case files at random. Reports results to CSE Manager 3.Provides support to CSE as necessary to initiate, implement, and work projects to enhance service delivery and increase performance in the areas of paternity establishment, order establishment, and collection of child support.Works closely with CSE training specialists to update information on CSE training material.Position-Specific DetailsAppointment Type: This position may be filled as a probational appointment or a job appointment that may last up to 48 months. Job appointments may convert to probational appointments. Also, it may be filled as a detail and promoted within 12 months or by promotion of a permanent classified employee.Work ScheduleTypically, work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday. Flexible work schedules are available after meeting certain criteria and is dependent upon the position you are applying for.
