Additional responsibilities will include supporting and participating in the development of component sourcing strategies, driving productivity, and completing competitive assessments. This role will support sourcing initiatives including new product development, supplier metrics, and on‑going data management.Responsibilities Support the category manager in development and execution of sourcing strategies for the metal components category, including leading these activities with designated suppliers.Quotation preparation and negotiation activities.Product / Part Qualification.NPD Support.Assist in the delivery of 3‑5% YOY productivity (cost reduction) goals for metal components.Work cross‑functionally to ensure all business needs are met (Engineering, Quality, Marketing).Support supply base rationalization using category spend and supplier capacity analysis.Support supplier relationship management activities (QBRs, weekly meetings, productivity/innovation opportunities, etc.).Set up and maintain accurate costing information in SAP and administer SAP requirements.Coordinate with the supplier and planner to minimize excess and obsolete inventory.Lead data integrity efforts (spend data gathering/verification, RFx analytics, etc.).Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in business, supply chain, or related fields; or comparable experience.1 to 3 years procurement/sourcing experience in direct materials sourcing is preferred.Ability to create and deliver a strong and persuasive message through presentation materials and data.Basic negotiation knowledge and skillset; default mindset to approach negotiations using data.Ability to manage multiple projects to completion.Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.Strong commitment to the highest standards of personal and professional integrity.Ability to organize and analyze data using a PC; intermediate proficiency in Excel a must.Experience in Excel, PowerPoint and Word is required.Experience in SAP is preferred.Ability to travel domestically about 10% of the time.Climate Dynamic work environment requiring ongoing learning and development. Need to support both short and long‑term business objectives. Involves decision‑making based on logical evaluation of information. Requires ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while still maintaining attention to detail.
