Apply today!Job Summary:The Coding Specialist operates as a member of the Coding Department within Revenue Cycle Management. The Coding Specialist is responsible for abstracting all CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, modifier, and units from the medical record documentation for pro-fee billing.Schedule:Monday-Friday - 8am-4:30pmEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Reviews medical records to assign accurate ICD-10 CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes based on payer, provider, and/or location billing requirements. Ensures coding compliance with federal regulations, payer policies, and industry standards. Identify and resolve documentation deficiencies; communicate with providers when clarification is needed Validates documentation supports level of service selection Utilizes coding software, encoder and other resources provided Stay current on coding updates, payer guidelines, and healthcare regulations. Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
