SummaryThe Mobile Crisis Intervention Specialist – Police Co-responder will utilize their knowledge of behavioral health and experience with utilizing de-escalation and problem solving to intervene with police for individuals/families experiencing a behavioral health crisis. This individual will also utilize their knowledge of systems (i.e. DMH/ DDS/ DYS/ DCF) and CBHI services as well as the Wraparound process to provide clinical care and support to prevent hospitalization and stabilize individuals in the community. This description is for all 3 shifts and for the overnight is considered an awake overnight position.All 24 hour programs are considered essential staff. Essential staff is defined as personnel who are expected to report to work as scheduled on holidays and during any emergency situation and/or agency closing (i.e. inclement weather) to ensure the ongoing operations of the program.
