Summary
Armed Protective Security Officer
Meritus Solutions Group is seeking professional Armed Protective Security Officers to support U.S. Naval infrastructure operations in Bayview, Idaho.
Officers assigned to this contract are responsible for protecting personnel, facilities, equipment, and critical infrastructure while maintaining compliance with federal security requirements and force protection standards.
This position requires professionalism, sound judgment, situational awareness, and the ability to perform armed security services in support of mission-critical government operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide armed security services at designated U.S. Naval facilities
- Protect personnel, government property, and critical infrastructure
- Enforce access control procedures and security protocols
- Conduct security patrols and inspections as assigned
- Respond to incidents, emergencies, and security concerns
- Monitor and report suspicious activity
- Maintain compliance with federal, contract, and site-specific requirements
- Complete accurate reports, logs, and required documentation
- Maintain proficiency with assigned weapons and security equipment
- Communicate professionally with government personnel, contractors, and visitors
- Perform additional duties as assigned by contract leadership
Minimum Qualifications
- Be a U.S. Citizen
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Possess a minimum of two (2) years of security experience
- Successfully pass: comprehensive background investigation, medical evaluation, drug screening
- Be able to obtain and maintain a national security clearance
- Be able to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently
- Be capable of preparing accurate written reports
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- DD214 (if prior military service)
Required Certifications
- Valid Driver's License
- CPR / First Aid / AED Certification
- M4 Qualification
- M9 Qualification
- M11 Qualification
- Mossberg 500 Qualification
- Baton (MEB) Certification
- OC Spray Certification
- Handcuff Certification
Compensation
Base Pay - $20.49/hour
Health & Welfare Benefit - $4.97/hour
Total Hourly Compensation - $25.46/hour
Health & Welfare benefits are provided in accordance with applicable federal contract requirements.

Work Schedule
This is a part-time position.
Schedules vary based on operational and mission requirements and may include:
- 8-hour shifts
- 10-hour shifts
- 12-hour shifts

- Overtime as required
Monday-Friday schedules may be available depending on operational needs.
Work Location
Bayview, Idaho
This position is fully on-site. Remote work is not available.
Security Clearance Requirement
Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a national security clearance. Continued employment is contingent upon maintaining clearance eligibility and meeting all government suitability requirements.
